My Grandma James turned 100 on February 2nd! Jacob, Brian, Kevin and I headed to California so we could go to her party.
Grandma said that she should have fireworks for her birthday, so my cousins put a few sparklers on her cake.
My Dad and Mom, eight of my siblings and a few spouses and kids were able to attend. We had a great time!
The boys and I stopped in Fresno the evening before the party and stayed the night with Jim's dad and Leigh. Jim's sister Brittany came from Chico so we could meet her baby daughter, Julia Rose. She is so stinking cute! Leigh's kids came for dinner too and we had a wonderful time visiting.
We also got to visit with Jim's Great Aunt Della. We used to see her and Jerry now and then when we lived in Fresno and miss her. It was so nice to visit with her too.
The picture of Kevin and the sandbox was from the first week in February. It got really cold here. The boys found a big chunk of ice in their sandbox that is out on our patio. In 2010, the boy scouts had an opportunity to earn four historic merit badges since it was the 100th year of scouting. Jacob and a few other boys earned them.
