Eagle Court of Honor

Jacob and Brian's Eagle Court of Honor was October 7, 2016. We had a table at the entrance for people to sign their names on a picture for each boy.

We started off with a flag ceremony.

Jim presented Jacob with his Eagle award. 

Jacob presented Jim with the Father's pin and me with the Mother's pin.

Scott Clines, Brian's leader, presented him with the Eagle award.

Brian presented Jim with the Father's pin and me with the Mother's pin.

The leader from our Stake, Dana Edwards, came and presented each boy with a plaque to honor their accomplishment.

Jacob had three Mentor pins he wanted to present. The first one, he gave to me. It was so sweet of him to do that. The second one, he gave to the scout leader he had when he was 11, Scott Workman. He told him that he sparked his love for scouting.

The third Mentor pin, he awarded to the scout leader he had when he was 12, Doug Selin. He told him that he solidified his love for scouting. It was so great!

Brian then presented his Mentor pins. He also gave his first one to me. I love these boys. He gave his second pin to the scout leader he had when he was 13, Drew Davis. He told him that he helped to get him the furthest along in scouting.

Then they joined the Eagle's Nest, where the other men in attendance who are also Eagle Scouts sat together.

Dessert time! I decorated a cake for them with the 12 points in the Scout Law around the edge. We had so many people help and bring desserts and foods to munch on. I couldn't have done it without so many great friends!

Grandpa James and Grandpa Miller helped with the program by reading a short piece about the Scout Law and how the points can be found in scripture. We were so happy Grandpa & Grandma James and Grandpa & Grandma Miller made the quick trip to help us get ready for the night and to help us celebrate. We couldn't have done it without them either!

We took a few pictures at home afterward since we forgot at the building. Here we are with our two Eagles.
