A long overdue trip

It's been a while since we've been able to go anywhere. We took an opportunity to go up north and go some places to see some Arizona beauty that we have never been able to see in the 11 years we have been here. It's been almost all work and no play for our family. We are hoping to make a few memories for the boys. We camped near Flagstaff in the woods the first night. I didn't get any pictures but the one of Jacob in a big tree. Our tent ripped so the next night was a hotel night. We got up early and headed up to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Wow!

Then we headed up near Page and we saw Horseshoe Bend. It was beautiful and frightening all at the same time.

We also had a look at the Glen Canyon dam and walked out onto the bridge to look way down at the building at the bottom and the Colorado River. We also went into the visitors center for a better view.

We stopped back near Flagstaff again on our way back to Phoenix to have a walk in the Lava River Tube. It was a fun little trip with the boys.
