December happenings

It has been quite a busy month and a half. At the beginning of December, Brian performed with the band at a concert. We just found out the last day of school before winter break that he was selected to be in the Honor Band performance in January. We are very proud of him!
Brian and Kevin got a picture with Santa at our ward Christmas dinner.
We went to Bakersfield for Christmas and had a wonderful time visiting with our families. First, we went to Jim's moms house. His three sisters and families were there. That evening after dinner, Santa came to Grandma and Grandpa's house! The three youngest grandkids got a present from him. What fun!

Grandma and Grandpa Miller took some pictures with all 10 grandchildren ... Oh, and Santa.
Christmas morning, we were at my sisters house. I only took a few pictures there, but it was a nice relaxing morning.

After opening presents, all the boys wanted to do was play with their new Lego's.
Jim got some giant candy bars for his stocking and mine. We shared them with out sister's family too. I thought it was hilarious!

Christmas evening, we visited and the kids played. Three of my sisters and my Dad and Mom were able to be together for a few hours. Twelve of the grandkids were there, but we forgot to take a picture before three had to leave, so we took one with nine of them and one with my beautiful mom and 3 sisters.

We were also able to go to Fresno to visit Nonno and Nonni. We also got to visit with Jim's step brothers and sister. We had a very nice visit and Jim and I got to meet Sophie for the first time. She's so fun, and so cute!

We came back home last Sunday. The boys had money to spend from Christmas. Jacob has been saving up for a bigger bow that fits him better now that he has grown so much in the past two years. So we got it and he got to shoot it today for the first time. He loves it of course.

Brian still needs to decide what he wants to do with his money, but Kevin knew exactly what he wanted. He has been talking about having a pet for some time now. We looked a few nights ago and he decided he'd like to buy a mouse. Last night, we went and he used his money to buy an aquarium, a water bottle, the running wheel, some food and the mouse. After purchasing the items, he promptly named him Charles.
So here is Charles. Kevin just giggles and giggles watching him fluff up his bedding and run on the wheel. It's so fun!

Very nice! I love reading your blog, hearing news and seeing pics of you guys. BTW - that's one crazy mouse - I know you probably snapped a pic of him on the jump... but it looks like he is balancing on his tail.
